During the Steering Committee on 27th of May, 16 colleagues worked on the next steps of the project, and among different issues to be disscused in the meeting three main topics where the ones that mainly arouse:

  • ICT platform and Newsletter improvements to reach more key actors.
  • Teenergy project advances in all different regions, things to learn of, improvements.
  • Preparation of the most importan moment of the project, the Athens Campus.

On the other hand the the 3rd International Workshop on “Indoor comfort and sustainable energy management in buildings” was held on the 28th of May with a big success of attendance of different key actors mainly as a result of the relevance of the Speakers and their interesting presentations, but also because of the communication work done among network conntacts of the partners and the use of European Network capacities as for example Buildup web site. More than 200 assistants came with different interesting profiles.

As well other events were organized during this week to support some of the issues on which we worked in the Steering Commitee and/or in the Worshop:

  • For this purpose a visit to one of the 10 Spanish institutes participating in the project was organized, we all could learn direclty from studens their worries about employment in the future related to energy market oportunities, they already built up an entire classroom with the latest lighting technologies.
  • As well a visit to the north of the province of Granada was made, in that case all partners could see how in this region rural touristic locations can do right well with Renewable Energy Facilities and Bioclimatic constructions “ecocaves” (not deep caves, but surface caves in which people of the north of the province lives, with very good passive energy performances).
  • Finally the whole meeting ended up with a visit to the municipality of “Moraleda de Zafayona” to one of the house construction experiences that some companies are developing in Granada to cope with the Passiv Haus standard and Mediterranean specific conditions.

Once the Energy Audits are finished and all partners are working on analizing the results already achieved, we prepare now for the next important milestone of the project with the experience of 50 Energy Audits on our backs, the Greek athens Teenergy Campus.
